Canyon Pass Mission Statement: Build a community-based profitable business that provides the highest quality goods at a fair price. Deliver these goods to our customers with an extraordinary focus on their satisfaction. Encourage our customers, employees, and community members to lead active outdoor lifestyles and take a lead role in protecting our environment locally and around the world.
Our decision to create Canyon Pass Provisions was driven by a desire to build a successful business that would enable us as founders and proprietors to connect meaningfully with our customers, our fellow local business owners, and our community in a way that would encourage active, healthy, and fulfilling lifestyles both indoors and out.
To strengthen those bonds with friends, customers, and community we are committed to give back to our local area in a few focused ways. We have identified three unique initiatives that will be central to our community outreach:
Clean Ocean Action is a leading national and regional voice working to protect waterways using science, law, research, education, and citizen action.
Clean Ocean Action campaigns:

Improve programs and laws that protect public health at swimming beaches.

Reduce plastics and litter that pollute waterways, spoil beautiful beaches, and harm or kill marine life including turtles, whales, seals, birds, and fish.

Protect coasts from oil and gas drilling in the ocean, including Maine to Florida.

Establish the nation’s first Clean Ocean Zone to start a national chain reaction for all coasts.

Reduce toxins in waterways to ensure fish and shellfish are free of pollution and safe to eat.

Educate and motivate citizens from the small to the tall.
Canyon Pass Provisions will donate $1 for every product sold that holds water for consumption (water bottles, mugs, silipints). We also pledge to mobilize our team and our loyal customers to support COA's beach sweeps, special events, and advocacy projects over the course of the year.
Youth who work at Second Life Bikes put in 15 hours of time in exchange for a bicycle of their own, which they restore using the skills they’ve learned. In addition to gaining valuable practical skills, youths are exposed to the value of committing their time to a community organization.
Second Life Bikes aims to provide the surrounding communities with the opportunity to purchase a mechanically refurbished bicycle at a reasonable cost, to buy parts and accessories, and to have their own bicycles repaired.
Second Life Bikes seeks to foster a participatory environment wherein adults are encouraged to volunteer their time, regardless of mechanical ability. We always welcome those who would like to contribute effort to any of the various ways in which the bike shop functions from day to day.
A long-term goal of Second Life Bikes is that all participants, children as well as adults, become integral parts of the ongoing life of the bike shop, ideally learning, growing, and adding their story to ours.
Donated bicycles and parts are vital in sustaining Second Life Bikes; everything we are given is put to good use and given the chance to have a “second life.”
Canyon Pass Provisions is proud to serve as a satellite drop-off location for used bicycles and parts to benefit Second Life Bikes. Any Canyon Pass customer will receive a 5% discount on a transaction accompanied by the donation of a used bicycle in any condition. Canyon Pass will deliver the used bicycles to Second Life Bikes to assist them in their mission.
As proud members and supporters of the Fair Haven Volunteer Fire Co. the DeBree family is always struck by the sacrifices that our local volunteer first responders make on behalf of their friends and neighbors. These unique local leaders respond to emergencies 24/7/365 and bring comfort, skills, and expertise to those experiencing some of life's most stressful and challenging moments. To honor their commitment and to encourage their continued service, Canyon Pass Provisions will provide an everyday 10% discount on all non-sales merchandise to emergency services volunteers as well as all active military men & women.
